THE PRESERVATION PROJECT

The Atlanta Development Company (ADC) moved the Davis Street house in Braselton, Georgia in 2023. The house was originally located at 9681 Davis Street, but it was in the way of a new development project. The ADC decided to help the town to keep this historical house instead of demolishing it. The house was moved to a new location on Davis Street. The move was a complex undertaking, but the ADC was able to complete it without damaging the house. The house was moved on a special trailer that was designed to keep the house level and stable. The move took several hours to complete. The house was moved in two stages. First, the house was lifted off its foundation and placed on the trailer. Then, the trailer was moved to the new location. Once the trailer was in place, the house was lowered onto its new foundation. The move was a success, and the house was moved without any damage. The house is now located at 9727 Davis Street, and it is a valuable asset to the community.
