OUR EXPERTISE

As the driving force behind Atlanta Development Company, Matthew presides over all facets of our esteemed real estate development firm, including initial project planning, financial viability studies, execution, team building, and the management of executive sales. His career, spanning over a decade, has seen him take up roles in various aspects of real estate, such as general contracting, land holding, hospitality, and advisory services.

Matthew's profound involvement extends from the strategic acquisition and development of real estate parcels in Braselton and Flowery Branch, GA, to leading innovative projects like the Laurel Park townhome community and mixed-use development, as well as Pasta Masters @ 69 City Square Hoschton. In the hospitality realm, his success includes the establishment of Cotton Calf Kitchen, a popular steakhouse with a $4 million annual turnover.

"Braselton's growth has mirrored my own journey - from humble beginnings to a flourishing future. It's a testament to what's possible when vision, dedication, and community come together. Just as a seed needs the right conditions to grow into a mighty tree, so too does a town like Braselton thrive with the right investments and care."

- Matthew, Founder of Atlanta Development Company

FEATURED STORY

The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation recently honored the Atlanta Development Company, Architectural Collaborative, and contractor David Shepard with the Michael L. Starr Award for their work on the Braselton Cotton Gin in downtown Braselton. The award, named after former Georgia Trust and Georgia Cities Foundation board chair Mike Starr, recognizes exemplary historic rehabilitation projects that significantly impact their city's downtown.

The Braselton Cotton Gin, constructed around 1900, is a notable example of early 20th-century cotton gin structures. Its rehabilitation has been praised for reviving an important agricultural building in Northeast Georgia, now serving as the Braselton Brewing Company and a focal point for the town. The town of Braselton has a long history of commitment to historic preservation, with previous recognitions including a 1999 Award for Excellence in Rehabilitation for the Braselton Town Hall and a 2001 designation as a National Register of Historic Places District.

CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS

At Atlanta Development Company, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. We're not just focused on creating impressive buildings; we're dedicated to enriching the communities we serve. Over the years, we have proudly contributed to a variety of organizations in and around Braselton, assisting in their mission to empower, educate, and uplift the local community.

Among the organizations we've supported are the Piedmont Athens Regional Foundation, the Empower College & Career Center, and the Georgia FFA Foundation, each of which plays a significant role in health, education, and agricultural development. We have also extended our support to the Boys and Girls Club of Jackson County, the Braselton Downtown Development Authority, and Jackson County Community Outreach, contributing to the youth's productive growth and the preservation of Braselton's historic character. We've also donated to the Braselton Rotary Club, Hall County FOP, Southern Methodist, Gainesville Hall CO, Jackson County, and The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. We take pride in our role in these endeavors and look forward to continuing our contributions to foster the growth and prosperity of the Braselton community.

In addition to our donations, the Atlanta Development Company is also proud to be a part of the ambitious Two Mile Green Stream Project in Braselton. This project signifies our commitment towards environmentally sustainable development, further enhancing the charm and appeal of the local community.

The Two Mile Green Stream Project focuses on the restoration and conservation of the natural stream corridor, creating an ecological haven within the heart of Braselton. Not only does this project promote environmental sustainability, but it also adds to the community's aesthetics, making it a beautiful place to live, work, and play.

Don’t just take our word for it. We’ve been recognized for our work in real estate, as a place for innovation and growth, and a great place to work.
